On October 11, 2018, the II Forum “Food Engineering” was held as part of the AGROPRODMASH-2018 exhibition. The forum was organized by the Rosspetsmash Association.
The event, which was held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Expocentre JSC, was attended by the leadership of the Rosspetsmash Association, representatives of federal and regional agencies, leading food equipment manufacturers and agricultural producers, heads of dealerships and service companies, the media and industry experts.
The forum moderator, President of the Rosspetsmash Association, Konstantin Babkin, noted that the food engineering industry has been showing a steady increase in output over the past few years. From 2015 to 2017, the volume of domestic equipment production increased from 23.5 to 40 billion rubles, its quality significantly improved. According to the forecast of the Rosspetsmash Association, the positive trend will continue in 2018.
During the forum, food equipment manufacturers were able to discuss the most topical issues in the field of food engineering, such as measures of state support for Russian manufacturers, export programs, as well as major problems, such as dependence on foreign components, which affects the cost of equipment and slows down the localization process productions.
Evgeny Korchevoy, Director of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Road Construction Machinery of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, spoke about the challenges facing the ministry and enterprises and those foreseen by the Industry Development Strategy until 2030. The state plans to increase the share of Russian companies in the domestic market to 62% by 2030. To achieve this indicator, the ministry has developed support programs that are aimed at developing production and introducing innovations in the field of food engineering. There is a subsidy by government resolution No. 547, reimbursement of part of the costs of research and development, concessional lending, export support programs and other mechanisms.
